Lullabies for Oleksa. Solomiia Chubai, Dudaryk choir, Jalapita Band, Rockoko Band.

Lullabies for Oleksa is a musical poetical album by Solomiia Chubai. This project is deeply soaked with the theme of inclusion, as it is dedicated to Solomiia’s son Oleksa - a wonderful talented kid who has autism. The inclusiveness of the project also lies in the fact that Solomiya invited children who have autism to participate. Such children are extremely talented, so they took part in the recording of the album, as well as performed on stage during two concerts, online and offline.

Solomiia’s main idea was to bring poetry and music together and create lullabies that every mother could sing or play to her child, together with famous Lviv chorus “Dydaruk”, Jalapita band, and Rockoko band. At first sight, it seemed impossible, but, after all, had a great success and really helped lots of people.

POETY. Sympho-musical album by Solomiia Chubai, Jalapita Band, INSO Lviv Orchestra, Serhii Zhadan and Yurii Andrukhovych and Rockoko Band

Ukrainian literature is rich on crucial poets, but, unfortunately, due to some historical aspects, we don’t pay enough attention to them. POETY project aims to change that. Solomiia Chubay, a singer, musician and, after all, daughter of legendary Lviv poet Hrihorii Chubai, together with Lviv - UNESCO City of Literature office implemented a project called POETY. This is a perfect mix of modern and classical Lviv poetry made into songs, both perfectly suiting for lyric and energized moods. Reading the verses, you can feel the atmosphere of Lviv and then, listening to the songs, fall in love with this atmosphere.
